Project Overview
The client needed to verify the integrity of a newly installed NPS 12 heater valve assembly—consisting of more than 120 feet of buried and exposed pipe—to meet the stringent requirements of CFR 192.507 and internal quality standards. Completing this hydrostatic test safely, efficiently, and without costly retests required precise execution, real‑time engineering oversight, and strong coordination among all parties. To meet this need, LSC provided on‑site hydrostatic testing support that ensured full regulatory compliance and delivered validated system integrity. Through accurate test execution and immediate engineering adjustments, LSC helped the client confidently advance the asset toward safe, reliable operation.

Faster Execution and Lower Cost Through Real‑Time Engineering
LSC performed the hydrotest using a highly calibrated Crystal nVision device, enabling real‑time pressure and temperature calculations as the test progressed. With the pipeline isolated and the contractor remaining on site, LSC was able to make immediate adjustments—avoiding retests, reducing downtime, and lowering total project costs.
LSC’s flexible mobilization model also ensured efficient execution: field engineers were supported directly by remote senior engineers, enabling under‑budget and schedule‑efficient delivery of the hydrotest scope.
High‑Quality Data Through Strong Collaboration
Close coordination between LSC, the contractor, and the client kept all stakeholders aligned throughout testing. This collaborative approach produced accurate, complete, and fully validated hydrotest data, supporting confident acceptance of test results and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
